Housing: Pete Fountain, Trent Lott, Other

Lot on which the home of Pete Fountain, famous New Orleans musician, had proudly stood before Katrina came knocking on the door. Before Mr. Fountain made it big, my father and his brother played music with Pete Fountain in the National Guard Band in their younger years. Can you imagine gone forever all of the memorabilia that had once been in his stately home on Beach Blvd.? Photo by A.M. Rosato in May 2007.

Home of U.S. Senator Trent Lott (R-MS) in Pascagoula, Miss. The house is gone. The land swept clear.

On a tour of my hometown, my brother showed me this home that Katrina blew into the river where it has remained ever since. Photo by Michael M. Rosato in May 2007
