Contacting Senator Richard Shelby (R-AL)

Email U.S. Senator Richard Shelby at senator@shelby.senate.gov.

Here is a letter to cut, paste, edit as desired, and send.
___________

Dear Senator Shelby,

Fellow Americans in South Alabama have suffered too much and for too long after Katrina hit the area. Insurance companies have deliberately low balled their claims or wrongfully denied the claims altogether.

Last week, the House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed on a bi-partisan vote the visionary Multiple Peril Insurance legislation that Mississippi Congressman Gene Taylor crafted and led to that glorious victory. That success is not just for Mississippi but also for Alabama, not just for the South, but for all of the 55% of Americans living within 50 miles of our nation's beautiful coast.

Mississippi's Republican Senators Trent Lott and Thad Cochran are on board with this legislation. Surprisingly, so is New York Senator Charles Schumer. However, news reports say that you are not.

I know you care about your constituents, sir, so I have but one question to ask. If a New Yorker gets it, why can't an Alabamian?

Sincerely,
Your name
Your address
Your city, state, and zip code

Provide whatever information the staff member requests: name, address, state, etc.

Thanks for helping bring Senator Shelby around to see things more clearly!
