Dear Senator Lott,
Thank you for your leadership in taking on the insurance industry that has treated so poorly many of Katrina’s victims, you and your family included.
Last week, Congressman Gene Taylor, your Mississippi colleague, successfully passed the Multiple Peril Policy Legislation with great bi-partisan support. I am writing to request that you take up the mantle to do the same in the U.S. Senate.
Like Taylor, you lost everything in the storm and State Farm treated you poorly. You had to resort to hiring an attorney to get what should have been sent to you within weeks of the storm. Let’s prevent this hardship from ever happening to another American family or business owner.
Please sponsor the Multiple Peril legislation in the U.S. Senate. We need your leadership and voice speaking for us.
